Volunteer at Sound City
For our very first Sound City Ipswich we are offering the chance to gain first-hand experience in working at a music festival with a number of opportunities available. The broad range of roles we have on offer include Technical Production, Wristband Exchange, Social Media Ambassadors, Artist Liaison and Videography.
This is an amazing opportunity to be part of the town’s first multi-venue festival and industry conference! You will be able to learn new skills and experience the workings of a festival, while meeting new people and having fun! We hope that this will also lead to ongoing opportunities in Ipswich throughout the year.

It is important to us that these opportunities are accessible to all applicants with different backgrounds and abilities. We ask that volunteers be aged 16 or over to volunteer, and 18+ for a bar role. With the daytime conference 11-4pm and the festival 5pm-2am, different shift times will be available depending on the role, and you will of course be given a free wristband in return for your help. Some roles require a bit more experience than others, please stipulate any relevant experience you may have in the application form. You may be asked to attend training sessions and briefings prior to the festival itself. If you have any questions please email us.
