Welcome to the Sound City Ipswich Music Industry Conference!

Sound City Ipswich are proud to be hosting a music industry conference as part of their wider music festival. The conference will be held in Ipswich Film Theatre at The Corn Exchange from 11.30 - 4.45pm. This is part of Sound City Ipswich’s key initiative to tap into Ipswich and the surrounding area’s ever growing music scene. It will feature panel discussions and conversations with contributors such as Mercury nominated grime MC and producer Novelist, Grammy Award winning mix engineer Adrian Bushby and representatives from venues, record labels and rights societies.

Attending the conference will give local music industry professionals, aspiring artists and students the chance to gain knowledge that will help them develop their professional skills, as well as help put the town on the musical map. Festival wristband holders are welcome to attend.

To guarantee entry to the conference please reserve your space in advance. You will receive a sign-up form once you have purchased your ticket online. If you haven’t booked in advance spaces will be on a first come first serve basis for wristband holders.

The Sound City Ipswich conference is in partnership with Sound City Liverpool and Arts Council England, who host the UK’s leading independent conference for new music: Sound City+. This was held between 3rd - 5th May in Liverpool this year. Since its inception, the Sound City brand has designed, delivered, marketed and hosted events in cities on three continents that range from a series of shows, conferences and product and service launches, to full music and arts festivals and creative and digital industries conferences.
