Our artist of the week is Novelist!

Following the release of his long-awaited debut Novelist Guy, the south London MC recently dropped his sophomore "100% grime" album Reload King.

The 22-year-old MOBO and Mercury-nominated artist has spoken out on how grime music can be “a great catalyst” in tackling the rise in gun and knife violence in the UK, an issue covered in his single 'No Weapons'. We're so excited to welcome him to Sound City Ipswich!

Artist of the Week: Happyness

Our artist of the week is Happyness!

The ever evolving south London duo's signature alt-rock stylings are laden with vulnerable vocals and charmingly laid-back guitar riffs, treading similar paths to that of predecessors Yo La Tengo and Grandaddy.

With a couple of albums under their belt 'Weird Little Birthday' and 'Write In', the band return after a break with new single "(...Hey New York)". The duo are playing two sold-out intimate warm-up shows in the run up to End Of The Road Festival at the end of this month. We're totally thrilled to have them on the bill at Sound City Ipswich!
